- Find Spanish (or Portuguese) language block of text, or website, you want translated.
- Copy text, or website address.
- Paste text or website address in translation engine.
- Select translate “Spanish to English.”
- Basic translation is then provided (although different translation engines limit amount of translation and vary greatly in quality of translation).
- Examples to try:
- Spanish to English translations.
- Copy CNN Español address “http://cnnenespanol.com/”
- Place address in translation engine.
- Set translation engine to “Spanish to English.”
- Hit “translate” and you can navigate site and get translation of pages (albeit parts of which are nonsensical).
- Copy La Jornada address (my favorite Spanish language paper from Mexico) “http://www.jornada.unam.mx/indexfla.php”
- Place in translation engine.
- Russian to English translations.
- Copy address for FSB (roughly equivalent to US FBI) “http://fsb.ru/”.
- Place address in translation engine.
- Set translation engine to “Russian to English.” Translations are of course rough… but useful for general knowledge.
